JCMS 3rd Quarter Reward
Chicken Run Tournament 2024!
JCMS students who earned passing grades in every class and received no major discipline infractions were invited to participate in the annual chicken run tournament. It might sound silly, but it is serious business at JCMS! You have to see it to believe it!

Congratulations to Quincy DeSherlia for being selected as an IESA Scholar Attitude Award recipient. Only 15 students in the state receive this honor. To be nominated, a student must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for both their 7th and 8th grade school years, demonstrates outstanding citizenship and the student must submit an essay along with letters of recommendation. Congratulations, Quincy! Jersey 100 is proud of your efforts on and off of the field!

JCHS Girls Soccer will resume their postponed match with Gillespie today at 4:30pm. Due to unplayable field conditions at Gillespie, the match will be played at JCHS. Come support your Panthers!

Today's softball game at Southwestern has been cancelled.
JCHS Teachers Andrea Lamer, Shelby Eisler, Erica Heitzig, Brad Kimble, Jackie Galeana, Bethany Wittman, Thomas Leslie, and Becca Leslie attended Capturing Kids' Hearts training in Collinsville over the past two days. It was an awesome experience that gave the teachers so many great ideas on building relationships with students and creating a positive culture for learning. The trainer was Brad McCoy - father of NFL quarterback Colt McCoy and longtime teacher/coach from Texas!
To kick off the Entomology unit, Mrs. Spencer's students went on a bug hunt. They found ants, spiders, and flies.
This Ranken field trip was attended by interested Juniors and Seniors. We must mention that instructors raved about our former graduates. 💙🐾

JCHS students interested in a career in real estate got to experience a a well thought out presentation by the passionate Kristina Woolsey!
JCHS Juniors and Seniors had the opportunity to attend a tour of LCCC Industrial Electricity at their Nelson Campus in Edwardsville. Paul Kuebrich and Jim Witt gave an exceptional and informative tour. Thank you!
