What a fantastic day! Our little kindergarteners from Grafton Elementary had a blast on their field trip to Boonies Farm. They explored the farm, learned about animals, and even got to pick their own pumpkins! The weather was perfect, and the kids had a ball.

Grafton fourth-graders had an unforgettable time at the outdoor field day hosted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. What a fantastic day!

Last week our first grade students got to go Eckert's--Ms. Jamison and Mrs. Heitzig's classes had a sweet time at the apple orchard! 🍎🍏

Attention Jersey 100! Remember to mark your calendars for these key upcoming dates, and enjoy your well-deserved time off!

JCMS Panther girls basketball teams are off to a great start. They both won tonight against East Alton at home.
7th grade is 3-1
8th grade is 4-0

Grafton’s Kindergarten through 4th-grade students love creating in the Maker Space. They use the engineering design process to tackle fun challenges. The latest project was harvesting pumpkins!
Armed with plastic forks, spoons, tape, and craft sticks, the students designed creative devices to harvest and transfer pumpkins efficiently to the truck. Watching them think, build, test, and improve their designs was incredible! The students worked through the design process, enhancing their creations with each step and learning how engineers think in the real world!
This project has resulted in fantastic collaboration between schools. Jayce Stone 3D printed the pumpkins they "harvested" at JCHS in the high school Maker Space!
Watch for more exciting Maker Space projects at Grafton. Mrs. Nurnberger has the students working on teamwork challenges, and Lego builds.
