1st-grade students had a great field trip to the Treehouse Wildlife Center! We learned all about the animals that live there and the animals that they are taking care of. The 1st-graders also did a food web activity and a nature scavenger hunt.

Jersey 100 Students attend Students for Innovation: Advocacy Day in Springfield! Ruby Wayne and Aiden Wittman represented the 4th Grade from East and Grafton Elementary Schools. The 4th-grade project was 50 Famous Faces, where the students researched famous people and created a podcast about their person. Simon Purcell and Michaela Eilerman represented JCHS. Simon presented a game he created in Mr. Shipleys computer programming class, and Michaela presented designs made in Ms. Kolkmeyer’s Adobe class. She brought several examples of items made using sublimation. Way to go! Jersey 100 was represented well, and we are proud of you! Thank you to Mrs. Melanie Fessler, Mrs.Jill Lamer, and Mrs. Amy Gray for supporting this project and making this day memorable for our students! Sending a big THANK YOU to Representative Davidsmeyer for the time spent with our students and your willingness to support our students and staff.

JCMS Band/Chorus Spring Concerts Throughout this week, 5th-7th music students performed their Spring concerts. Mr. Schroeder and his young musicians put on amazing performances!

JCMS Fitness Run An annual event held at JCMS to promote physical fitness and a healthy, active lifestyle. All JCMS students ran the one mile course with their peers and teachers cheering them on!

Reminder to all parents/guardians of current 4th graders and new students. JCMS will be holding Parent/Guardian Orientation on Thursday, May 11th at 5:30 pm.

Kathleen Dougherty won the Trig-Star competition sponsored by Heneghan and Associates. They presented her with a winner certificate and a $100 cash prize for excellence in mathematics. We are thankful for Heneghan and Associates continued support of our students.

ANNOUNCEMENT REVISED CALENDAR - Jersey 100 did not utilize all the built-in emergency days on our 2022-23 calendar. The last day of school for students is now Tuesday, May 23, 2023, and schools will dismiss at regular times.

PE classes at East Elementary had a physical fitness week, where every student ran the mile and shuttle run. All students worked very hard and did their very best. Way to go!
