Mrs. Hughes class have been learning all about the Rainforest habitat this week. Students created a Rainforest to show off their creations in the hallway.


Mrs. Hermens’ Kindergarten students LOVE reading! They have already read 100 books this year! They celebrated with a munch and read during Reader’s Workshop.


JCMS Girls Basketball takes a clean sweep over the Lewis and Clark oilers in front of their home crowd! Both the 7th and 8th grade teams won by big margins. Shout out to the Blue Crew for coming out in pink to support our Panthers as well as breast cancer awareness month!




JCHS Soccer honored six seniors on Tuesday at their Senior Night Game. Seniors honored were; Evan Lacy, Skylar Crull, Perrin McCoy, Alex Hubbell, Keegan Griffith and Adam Kribs. Congratulations on your JCHS Soccer career. Jersey 100 is proud of you!


Students in Ms. Herkert’s 5th grade Math class had to solve a word problem in three different ways. Each student in the group chose a different way to solve the problem. Students used methods such as writing an equation, using a number line, tape diagram, area model, place value chart, and number bonds. It was a great way to show there isn’t always one way to solve a problem.

On behalf of the entire Grafton Elementary School community, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for your recent visit to our school. Your presentation on fire safety and Halloween safety tips was informative, engaging, and fun for all of our students.


On Thursday, Sept. 14, the Jersey Community FFA took 12 members to Beaver Dam to compete in the Forestry Career Development Event. All members placed in the top 10 in their respective age groups and each team placed first.

In Varsity: 1st place, Clay Wadlow; 2nd place, Caitlyn Poletti; 3rd place, Kortney Stumpe; 4th place, Meredith Dougherty; 6th place, Matthew Maag; 10th place, Ashlen Scott.




Grafton's First graders read the book Pumpkin Jack written and illustrated by Will Hubbell. Now we have our own pumpkin and we are going to do a science experiment. We are going to see if our pumpkin rots like Pumpkin Jack and if a new pumpkin plant will grow! This will take months but we will make observations along the way. We can't wait to see it change!

Jersey 100 schools will be closed on Monday, October 9th, in observance of Columbus Day. Additionally, due to Staff Professional Development, there will be no school on Tuesday, October 10th.


JCHS Girls Tennis Crowned MVC Champions!
The JCHS Girls Tennis team traveled to Triad High School to compete in the 2nd day of the MVC Tournament. JCHS took the lead in the standings after day 1 of Doubles competition. Today was Singles competition. The Panthers kept their momentum today and won 5 of their 9 flights over the course of the tournament. Here are the final results for the Panthers:

#2 Doubles: Libby McCormick and Kate Hudson - 2nd Place
#3 Doubles: Emma McCormick and Charlie Bockstruck - 3rd Place

The students at East Elementary participated in the first Character Award Assembly for this school year. This assembly is put on by a group of fourth grade students who are involved in the Character Council. Students from each grade level were awarded for showing the character trait of empathy. Congratulations to the character award winners!
