JCMS Panther girls basketball teams are off to a great start. They both won tonight against East Alton at home.
7th grade is 3-1
8th grade is 4-0
Grafton’s Kindergarten through 4th-grade students love creating in the Maker Space. They use the engineering design process to tackle fun challenges. The latest project was harvesting pumpkins!
Armed with plastic forks, spoons, tape, and craft sticks, the students designed creative devices to harvest and transfer pumpkins efficiently to the truck. Watching them think, build, test, and improve their designs was incredible! The students worked through the design process, enhancing their creations with each step and learning how engineers think in the real world!
This project has resulted in fantastic collaboration between schools. Jayce Stone 3D printed the pumpkins they "harvested" at JCHS in the high school Maker Space!
Watch for more exciting Maker Space projects at Grafton. Mrs. Nurnberger has the students working on teamwork challenges, and Lego builds.

🎃🍂 Field Trip Fun at Greene Fields Farm! 🍂🎃
This past Friday, Ms. Prunty's class had an amazing time exploring Greene Fields Farm! The students enjoyed walking through the pumpkin patch, picking out their perfect pumpkins, playing on the slides, and even grabbing some yummy treats from the concession stand! What a wonderful day full of fall fun and laughter!
