Today, JCHS held a powerful ceremony to honor the brave individuals who serve or have served in the U.S. Armed Forces—a tradition we proudly uphold in Jersey 100. We were privileged to have Retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel and White House Director of Ceremonies, Mr. Thomas Groppel, as our keynote speaker. Mr. Groppel presented two commemorative plaques honoring Jerseyville natives Arnold and George Cisco, who made the ultimate sacrifice. These plaques will now have a permanent place of honor at JCHS.
A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Thomas Leslie, Mr. Brad Kimble, Mrs. Erin Bittles, Mr. Brent Stater, Father Martin Smith, our incredible student presenters, the talented band and chorus, the FFA for the flag presentation, and the entire JCHS community of staff and students who made this meaningful event possible. We are also deeply grateful to the Veterans and families who joined us today. It’s an honor to celebrate you! 🇺🇸 #Jersey100 #VeteransDay #HonoringHeroes
