Jersey 100 faculty and staff participated in a great day of professional development today! Many great resources and ideas were shared on various topics to better serve our students. It did get a little “wild” after Mrs. Fessler’s workshop on technology!
Thursday night: Varsity Girls Basketball defeated Highland, 60-56. Abby Manns scored her 1,000th point during the game, making her the 14th Lady Panther to join the 1,000 Point Club!
During the month of January, Mrs. Kuebrich's and Mrs. Durie's early childhood classrooms at West have been participating in several winter-themed lessons including: Listening to winter/snow books; making snowmen with Handwriting Without Tears pieces and with craft materials; measuring themselves to see how many "snowballs" tall they are; playing at winter-themed centers; and practicing taking turns during winter-themed games--check it out!
JCMS Panther Volleyball wins 7th and 8th over the East Alton Bullets!
All after school activities for today - Wednesday, February 5 - have been canceled. This evening's games (Freshman Basketball) have also been canceled.
7th graders in Mrs. Wittman's science classes used water and isopropyl alcohol and timed the phase change from liquid to gas.
Jersey 100 will be dismissing school at 12:30pm today Wednesday, Feb. 5th. All after school activities are canceled.
JCHS Basketball Results for Tuesday:
Both JV and Varsity Girls won at Mascoutah. Varsity Girls reached 20 wins with the victory.
Both JV and Varsity Boys lost to Mt. Vernon.
JCMS was rockin’ with Panther Pride tonight! Our 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams fell in exciting matches, but the student section showed their support for a great effort! “Ya gots to be a Panther or ya gots to go!”

Thank you Sara Marten and Jessica Jaffry from the U of I Extension-4-H Youth Development Office! They facilitated a real world simulation for our Culinary Arts classes at JCHS that focused on financial responsibility and budgeting. Our students greatly valued this experience!
The winners of the second day of the 2020 JCHS Freshman Tournament are:
JCHS, CM, EAWR, and Marquette. JCHS will play Marquette for the Championship this Wednesday.
The Third and Fourth grade students teams from East Elementary and Grafton Elementary had a great day at the Olympiad. The Olympiad is a STEM competition between all the school in our region. Twenty nine different teams from our region competed today. East Elementary took 4 teams and Grafton Elementary took 1 team. Everyone had a lot of fun and even learned a lot. East Elementary came home with 3 places. They placed 1st, 3rd and 5th place! Way to go Jersey100!

The JCHS Girls Basketball Team took second place in the Carrollton Lady Hawk Basketball Tournament. Claire Breden and Abby Manns were named to the All-Tournament Team.
Congrats to our JCHS All-State musicians. Over 25,000 students auditioned throughout the state and only 600 students were selected for this highest honor. Kirsten Hetzel-FMES, Tyler Welsh & Grant Smith, All-State Chorus, William Beauchamp & Lillie Purcell, Honors Chorus.
Congrats to the JCHS Competitive Cheer Team. The Lady Panthers placed 8th in the IHSA State Sectionals!
JCHS Wrestlers took 2nd place in the MVC Super Duals. Zeke Waltz was 1st Team All-Conference. Tyler Dirksmeyer & Hunter Burris made 2nd team. Honorable Mentions were earned by Ryan Heitzig and Wyatt Daniels.
