“Every canvas is a journey all its own.” (Helen Frankenthaler) Mrs. Sharrow is spreading the joy of painting in her Acrylic Painting electives class at JCMS. Students began working on their first landscape masterpiece.


5th grade teachers attended the Water Festival Training for their upcoming field trip. They learned hands-on science activities that they can do with their students in the classroom.

Mrs. Margherio's and Miss Hansen's 4th grade math classes are using math groups at the beginning of every math class to create a thinking classroom. During group time, the students are given a problem they have to work together to solve. The students and teachers are loving this new addition to our math classes.


Intro to Photoshop students using the sublimation process to design, print, and press bookmarks for West Elementary students. Sophomore Shane Lamer, Freshman Rocho Roentz, Haylie Eilerman, Junior Leanna Wheeldon, and Senior Kady Capler.

5th, 6th, and 7th grade students made turkey and cheese pinwheels for a healthy after school snack. Some were even brave enough to try a spinach wrap!

On Friday, Sept 23rd, under the guidance of their teacher, Cara Rojas, several Spanish students at JCHS traveled to the Hispanic Festival in Soulard. There, they learned traditional Hispanic dances, participated in arts and crafts, savored cuisine from various Spanish-speaking countries, and engaged in Spanish conversations with vendors and fellow visitors. It was an incredible experience, perfectly timed to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month! #HispanicHeritageMonth #CulturalExperience

Mrs. Goetten’s students are working on becoming authors and illustrators by creating an ABC book.


JCHS 8th graders get to be a part of 8th Grade Jazz Band this year.
This group gets to meet during 6th hour lunch and work with Mrs. Bittles and older Jazz Band students.

West Elementary had some special guests this morning greeting them to start this very Thankful Thursday!


How Bear Lost His Tail performed at Grafton Elementary on 9/20 for Kindergarten and 3rd grade! A delightful play explaining why bears have short tails. Performers: Jace Federle (Fox), Lillian Callahan (Bear), Colton Valstad (Narrator 2), and Josiah Carter (Narrator 1).
