THE GOOD STUFF! 🩵🐾
Josh Kendall, JCHS Class of 2023, earned his welding certificate from Ranken Technical College in May 2024 on a full tuition scholarship thanks to the Les Flautt Memorial Scholarship. His fuel expenses were offset by the Kyle Vanausdoll Scholarship.
On Wednesday, he presented to JCHS College and Career Readiness Classes about his high school experiences, his transition to college, and the pride he now has for earning a certification in a field that he's so passionate about.
When students reflected on "what stuck" from Josh's presentation, CCR students used words and phrases such as, "hard working, laid back, takes care of his family, loves what he does, proud, doesn't make excuses, nice, loves his mom, and brave."
Josh begins his career at Collins and Herman Construction Infrastructure Solutions in the coming days.
Thanks for inspiring and motivating our students, Josh! We are so proud of you, thank you for your time, and best wishes in your career! 🧑🏭
