News from JCHS Golf: Girls fall to Alton and Highland. Hailey Tonsor leads the team with a 48. Boys Golf beats Civic Memorial. Tyler Noble (with a 42) was two strokes behind the course medalist.

JCHS Boys Golf lost to Alton at Rolling Hills Golf Course. Jersey 179 Alton 178 Collin Fraley shot a 42, trailing the medalist by 2 strokes. Boys Golf record is now 6-6.

Cross Country ran at North Mac Saturday. Cole Martinez ran 16:38 to win the race. Andrew Kribs and Griffin Williams were medalists. Mekena Dugger won in 21:58. Chloe Kallal was second.

Fourth-grade students in Mrs. Gray's class used their observation skills to program Ozobots. The students were very excited when the robots learned a new move. They did a great job programming and identify ways to improve their program the next time.

Mrs. Heitzig’s Culinary Arts Classes held a “Lemon Water Photography Competition” this week at JCHS. Each team was provided with 1 lemon, 1 clear plastic cup, ice, and water. Teams were allowed to bring in additional props or garnishes to stage their photo. Congratulations to these winners!
