The winners during the second night of the JCHS Mid-Winter Classic were Edwardsville & Granite City. Edwardsville beat Cahokia: 58-31. Granite City over JCHS: 57-45.
The Freshman Girls basketball game at Marquette today (Wednesday, 1/22) has been moved forward one hour and will start at 5:00.

Congrats to the Lady Panther Basketball Teams. Both Varsity and JV had wins against Jacksonville Tuesday evening. The Varsity score: JCHS over Jacksonville 59-25.
The 1st two games of the JCHS Mid-Winter Classic Boys Basketball Tournament are in the books! JCHS beat Cahokia: 62-35. Edwardsville bested Granite City: 51-44.
Congrats to the following JCHS band students selected for the SIUE Bi-State Band Festival this weekend! William Beauchamp, Madison Bartok, Emily Goff, Kirsten Hetzel, Corrina Pohlman, & Lillie Purcell. A special congrats to Charlie Simcox for making it into the top Honor Band!
A great performance by the JCHS Dance Team this weekend at the Edwardsville IDTA dance competition. They are headed to State in Kick!
JCHS Boys finished 2nd in Regional Bowling today and advance to Sectionals next weekend in Collinsville. The four teams moving on:

Molly Dunn-Stienke, Mental Health Consultant, presented to the parents of Pre-K and Birth-to-Three about some sensory issues that our kids deal with daily. Molly shared some of the signs that a child has a sensory issue and how to help with those issues.
Jersey CUSD No.100 has entered into a Solar Power Purchase agreement with Clean Energy Design Group (CEDG). CEDG is currently installing solar panels on the roofs at JCHS, JCMS and West Elementary. This Power Purchase Agreement will allow the District to purchase electricity produced by the solar array system at a greatly reduced rate. Estimated energy savings could be as much as $90,000 per year.

JCHS Scholastic Bowl with two wins and one loss on Thursday. JCHS victorious over Marquette and O'Fallon and with a loss to Collinsville (who is undefeated).
In Basketball, the Lady Panthers beat the Waterloo Bulldogs. Varsity Girls win 74-36. JV Girls win 52-38.
JCHS Bowling sweeps Marquette Thursday night. Cassie Bowman leads girls with a 613 series. Zane Longley rolls a 727 and Jeremy Vanost a 633. Jersey hosts the Boys Regionals on Saturday.
Ms. Herkert's 5th grade class put on our monthly student-led character assembly today to teach their peers about Citizenship. This month they also rewarded the classmates they felt best demonstrated last month's character trait (Trustworthiness).
