Today at JCHS was "United with Ukraine Day". Students and Staff showed support for Kateryna Savienkova, our Ukrainian exchange student. Students and Staff wore yellow and blue, our band played the Ukrainian Anthem, and flags and signs were placed throughout the building. We are very proud of our students and staff for all the great things they created to show support. Kateryna and Dominik Schrenk, a fellow exchange student, created a fantastic video to raise awareness about the situation in Ukraine. Please check it out below: https://youtu.be/9FMZ19qQgYM

Attention FUTURE Panthers---Mark your calendars for April 14, 2022! If you have a child who will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2022, and will be attending kindergarten in the Jersey Community Unit School District #100, please call 618 498 4322 to schedule a screening appointment. Every child must attend kindergarten screenings in order to attend kindergarten in the fall. Please make your appointment now!

JCMS March Madness Bracket Challenge! Students at JCMS had the opportunity to submit NCAA Basketball brackets for the chance to win Dairyland gift cards! Results: Heath Schroeder 118 pts Makenna Brunaugh 78 pts Quincy DeSherlia 66 pts

JCMS 5th Grade English Language Arts Civil War Character Bottle Project Ms. Herkert, Mrs. Leslie, Mrs. Brady, and Mrs. Pickel During their unit on the Civil War, students chose an important person to research and create a Google Slides presentation to teach the class about their person and their significance during the Civil War. Students created a character bottle to represent their chosen person.

National Robotics Week JCMS 6th Grade STEM Mr. Madson and Mrs. Beckman In this lesson students built their driving base with sensors and an arm. The objective was to program their driving base to move towards the colored legos and use the arm to retrieve the lego and drag it back to a starting point. Then, they repeated the program to complete a "relay race" collecting 4 different colored legos. JCMS STEM classes are learning 21st Century skills every day!

Summer Gunning, Senior Adobe and Design Intern, designed and created this years class of 2022 Illinois State signage that is displayed above the main gym door! Way to go, Summer!

JCHS Band will be hosting our final Jazz Spring Concert with the LCCC Big Band on April 11, in the JCHS Auditorium at 7:30 pm.  It's Free! Come on out and hear the amazing LCCC Jazz Band and the JCHS Jazz Ensemble one more time this year!

Last Friday, Jersey 100 Administration spent the day in an Academy with Dr. Kelly Stewart, learning strategies from Jon Gordon’s The Power of Positive Leadership to use with staff and students. These strategies will help make Jersey 100 a better place to work and learn! Thank you, Dr. Stewart!
