Mrs. Heitzig’s Design Class Field Trip, Part 1: West Star Aviation in East Alton, IL. This company specializes in refurbishing aircrafts for sales, business, and private owners. They walked us through the design processes including stripping the plane, painting, upholstery, and other interior and exterior decision. These employees were kind, passionate and inspiring. Due to privacy regulations, we don’t have photos but they left an impression on all of us. If you recognize a face in this photo, please ask them about their experience as there is fantastic workforce development information to share! This experience was facilitated by the fabulous JCHS graduate, Stevi Kirby.

The National College Decision Day is quickly approaching and we want to celebrate ALL of our seniors and their post-secondary plans. On May 2nd seniors are invited to stop by the academic signing table outside of the cafeteria. They will receive a free donut (so they donut forget us) and sign a college pennant. Seniors, whether you are attending a university, community college, trade school or enlisting in the military--we want to celebrate you! So, stop by and get your free donut and sign a college pennant which we will display. Your JCHS family is very proud of all of your hard work!!

JCMS Student Council celebrated Earth Day by cleaning up the River Road. The kids worked hard and picked up a lot of trash along the routes. Thanks for making Jersey County a great place to live!

Students at West Elementary celebrated Earth Day today! Check out some of our first grade students! They learned about plants, went on a nature walk, and got to eat "dirt"! What a fun day!

West Elementary students had a blast today!!! They were entertained by the Harlem Wizards! You can watch the Harlem Wizards at JCHS tonight at 7pm. Tickets are available at the door. ($12 adults, $11 students) K-6 students must be accompanied by an adult.
