JCHS Girls Basketball matched up with Nokomis tonight in the Carrollton Tournament. It was a historic night for Panthers in their dominant win over the Redskins. Prior to tipoff, Tessa Crawford was 29 points away from tying the all time career scoring record held by Katie Mortenson who scored 1670 points in her impressive career. Tessa did not disappoint the large Jersey crowd in the Hawks gymnasium. In the final minutes of the 4th quarter, Tessa sunk a deep three pointer to hit her 30th point of the night to make history and become the JCHS Girls Basketball All Time Leading Scorer. Tessa is currently at 1671 points and counting!!! Congratulations, Tessa! We're all extremely proud of your accomplishment and look forward to watching you lead the Panthers in your final season.
JCHS would like to thank Greg Pohlman, Carrollton High School Athletic Director, for acknowledging the historic moment with a PA announcement immediately following the basket.
